Hey I’m Kayla! I’m an ABQ local, Navy-veteran, and single mom. I originally learned to ride back in highschool (at Sandia Ski Resort!), but never got the hang of it and I didn’t have any snowboard friends at the time. I decided to get back into it 3 years ago as an adult and completely fell in love! I really enjoy the high-speed challenge of riding- especially tree runs- and how free I feel on the mountain. I’ve met some really awesome people here who share my passion and constantly inspire me to ride better. This season I’m focusing more on backcountry and earning my turns, so you’ll find me at Taos or Wolf Creek most weekends! We’re lucky in NM to have such an awesome community with some really supportive people in it, I wouldn’t be where I am in this sport without them!  Hope to see y’all out there, let’s take some turns!
